This will be generic -- but it will also be relatively SAFE!
1. This is an absolute must -- no ifs, and, or buts, if you do not do step one then shame on you.

Through your FTP Program -- Completely download your Mambo program to a place on your hard drive so that you have the ability to re-upload it if somethin happens. You can also go into your file manager within your website host and copy everything to a folder -- call it (backup) and place it wherever you wish. DO NOT SKIP THIS PART!!!!

2. If you have the 4.5.1 to 4.5.2 files use them first.

3. Unzip file and it will be laid out just like your Mambo files on the web host.

4. Open up your FTP program -- Go the the Update file on your machine and then also go to the existing file on your server machine (I am making an assumption that whatever FTP Program you are using shows both your local machine and your host files in two seperate windows at the same time.

5. When you open up your files in your local computer you will see it laid out in folder _style_ basically as it is in the host server. So the first file may be (Administrator), etc...

6. Highlight the Administrator file in your local machine (Just what I said!!!!!!!! Highlight -- do not open the file and reveal all of its contents) and then highlight the Administrator file in your host program.

7. Tell your FTP program to upload files -- when it asks permission to overwrite files -- tell it yes.

8. This process will then allow the folder to completely overwrite any changed files within that folder and at the same time it will leave unchanged folders alone -- or it will add any new files.

9. From 4.5.1. to 4.5.2 then from 4.5.2 to 4.5.2.2 then from 4.5.2.3

Important: Don't forget sql-upgrades for every step !!!
